Experienced AutoCAD Designer

We are currently looking for an experienced and detail-oriented CAD Designer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in high end custom home building.

The high profile work we do means high profile clients requiring an exacting level of customer service at all phases of a project. The CAD Designer must have exceptional communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and an ability to produce consistent quality work in high volume.

Job Description:

• Create and edit production shop drawings for client approval
• Create shop drawings and part details for production
• Create mechanical drawings
• Perform quality control checks
• Ensure that all drawing changes and drawing requests are completed in an accurate and timely manner
• Responsible for plans accuracy, including all details and constructability
• Provide weekly updates on CAD schedules to the organization
• Develop, implement and monitor CAD design standards and procedures to meet customer needs
• Ensure that all shop drawings are in compliance with the CAD standards in the commercial and residential fenestration industry
• Maintain CAD document archive
• Check of working drawings for quality and consistency
  
  

• Minimum of 10 years of AutoCAD experience in the Mechanical, Civil or Architectural design world
• BS or BA degree in Engineering, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 10 years of working with AutoCAD, Autodesk and SolidWorks
• Excellent geometry and mathematical skills
• Flexible and detail oriented
• Can work on multiple projects a day
• Team player
• Strong oral and written communication skills
